My Bio
The only thing you need to know about me, is that I have a Bachelor's degree in English language and literature- earned after four years of studying at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University. Everything else is none of your business.
I'm all for freedom of speech, but when I came across artiat203, I was HORRIFIED and appalled at what I found. This man is not only openly racist, and blatantly sexist, but GROSSLY sexually offensive! Because of the content, I felt I had an obligation to report him. They got back to me, telling me they've already dealt with the problem... no they haven't. His account is still activated, and he is still submitting. And why is this? Answer: because he's a premium member! For shame, DA!

No prob at all. Love your works!
"Give praise where praise is due" and and and ughHHH ALSO HOLY SHIT THIS QUOTE IS EVERYTHING I'VE WANTED IN LIFE thanks man
Oh, you're very much welcome.
concerning your critiques because damn, man, you've got balls of steel and it's rather impressive--but it's almost too much balls especially wasting precious frustration on a website  such as this one
so what i'm saying is, i applaud you for your stance
what i don't applaud is how you show your stance off and your way of argument (which is constructed poorly--and not because you tend to go toward the aggressive side of things, i do aswell, countless and meaningless times--but i would prefer if you tried to be unique with your message, makes things far more fun)

i'm actually not insulted by the fact you're going on about work that isn't actually worth two flying fucks in the end, because it's simple math, with the fact dA is unfortunately turning toward something like photobucket--and this is a definitely an agreeable stance.

i feel like you have shitloads of potential but you tend to ring out derogatory statements rather than channeling your attention towards the work itself and actually critiquing, which could help things immensely in the long run, i feel, rather than going with simple (rather true) statements about how 'this work is stupid', you would be best off explaining the because of it, why it's stupid, why the artist should implement different elements or just simply..why and how a piece is utter garbage (due to the fact it's an attention gaining medium)

so my question here is, why don't you do this? you and i both know that it's something far more than stupid, and there's a bigger picture. sort of like pointing out to corporate sell-outs, but just calling them traitors in the longrun with no actual substance to go by and not truly giving an impact?
Well, what you prefer is not my concern. I don't say things for an impact; to be controversial... I simply speak my mind. Sometimes, I will give a critique that I think is pretty helpful. And sometimes, I will give a 'critique' that isn't so helpful. Some people just won't be helped. Either way, I am going to give my opinion on it.
Is it my fault people are so sensitive nowadays? People need to grow thicker skin.
i just feel you could deliver so much more, of course, but this is just me

ah! thank you for clearing that up, so you're just going with the flow

i think that this day and age, sensitivity is pretty much seen in every corner due to the fact americans (and so on) lack stable security and self-esteem, but i'm not sure why criticism is seen as a tool to knock that security and self-esteem down when it isn't, really not sure how that came about
unfortunately no one's actually taught to accept criticism with a dash of elegance and held in high regard

awfully saddening, though
